As we look forward to the 2026 growing season, it appears we will be blessed with another very good crop for 2025. The combination of a good planting season and mostly decent weather throughout the growing season have been beneficial. As with most years, it did not come without environmental challenges. I commend growers for making the necessary effort to apply timely fungicides and keeping most acres healthy.

No doubt, environmental challenges also will present themselves for 2026 – it is the nature of agriculture! ACH Seeds is excited to potentially launch four new varieties for 2026 that will provide even more diversity to help you manage these challenges. Our breeders continue to shift toward new approval requirements for better Cercospora tolerance and higher RWST. These enhancements fit well as Michigan Sugar Company transitions towards the new “Quality Payment System.”
